About The Position

The incoming quality inspector ensures that materials submitted by identified suppliers for inspection meet the requirements of manufacturing drawings, standards, and PO information, guaranteeing that the material used for the assembly of our products has the required quality. This role provides technical support and analysis for quality and reliability issues.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to read, write, and process basic math.
Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail software.
Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
Able to accept constructive criticism and feedback, and respond in an appropriate manner.
Remain open to and supportive of team ideas and management decisions.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years preferred QA experience, in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Able to interpret drawings/schematics, experience in a plus.
Telecommunications product knowledge a plus.
May require the use of a forklift, pallet jack, and/or hand truck.
Experience working in a team environment, and/or independently.

Responsibilities

Follow the incoming inspection procedure.
Perform inspection of the required material, based on PO, manufacturing drawing, ANS and Epicor standards, using the appropriate measuring equipment.
Perform evaluations and report information on products that are returned due to defects or other quality-related reasons.
Identify accepted material and identify rejected material with appropriate labels provided by Manager or Supervisor.
Perform the necessary incoming inspection transactions in Epicor documenting the measuring equipment used.
Send rejection information to the buyer and generate DMR report.
Close DMR/RMA in the system when required.
Conduct operational process audits and records in web database.
Inform Supervisor or Manager of improvement opportunities identified in the process contributing to continuous improvement.
Help maintain QA area and equipment.
Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed.
Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules.
Display cross-cultural sensitivity while working in a diverse employee population.
Perform all work assignments with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions.
