About The Position

Incodema3D is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for their 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm) to evaluate additively printed and machined parts and components. In this role, the inspector will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, using metrology equipment, and will operate Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM) and Blue Light inspection systems to ensure the parts and components meet rigorous aerospace and industrial standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles and experience using measurement equipment and inspection tools.
  • Good attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or technical trade school certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant inspection experience preferred.
  • Experience operating CMM equipment.
  • Prior experience in aerospace (AS9100) or additive manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of parts and components using engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of measurement tools including micrometers, calibers, pin gages, optical comparators, and height gages.
  • Inspect parts for critical surface irregularities such as cracks, pits, porosity, and scratches.
  • Read, understand, and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements from engineering prints.
  • Operate CMM and Blue Light inspection systems, executing programs via Zeiss Calypso and GOM software.
  • Support the development of comprehensive inspection plans from initial production stages through final acceptance.
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials and parts according to internal and regulatory protocols.
