About The Position

The Quality Auditor will be responsible for ensuring that the processes and products in the Eaton Logistic Center meet established quality standards. The role involves conducting audits, reviewing processes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the integrity of the supply chain and distribution operations. This position will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring that all automotive parts meet or exceed the required specifications. Job assignment will typically include: in-process evaluation, final evaluation, receiving evaluation, parts evaluation, containment of quality issues, data management, as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience applying quality tools in a warehouse/distribution center and or manufacturing environment.
  • Relocation is not provided. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN will be considered. Candidates who are Active Duty Military are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine audits of the distribution center’s processes, procedures, and products.
  • Review incoming and outgoing shipments to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Analyze audit results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformances.
  • Document audit findings, maintain records, and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Work closely with Quality Engineers, ELC staff, and suppliers to ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to quality control.
  • Participate in training programs to educate staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality standards and other regulatory requirements relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations to minimize defects or process inefficiencies.
  • Maintain control system paperwork and other administrative duties as required, such as input data into computers and assist in multiple process.
  • Maintains and participates in 5S+ and Lean activities. Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
