About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Saber Power Services is currently looking to add a Quality Inspector to support Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Substation construction projects across multiple locations. This is a field-based role, with regular travel to active project sites. Applicants must be willing to travel and hold a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Quality Assurance / Quality Control position
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites

Nice To Haves

  • Power systems experience including Substations, BESS, Transmission, or Distribution
  • Experience with civil, structural, and electrical installations
  • Experience with Concrete, piling, and earthworks
  • Trade certification or professional designation (Preferred)
  • Strong technical document interpretation skills
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Procore (Preferred)
  • We may also consider candidates with related construction experience or recent graduates in a technical field (Electrical preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities on active construction sites
  • Implement the Company Quality Manual, project-specific Quality Plans, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Provide quality-related support to project teams to ensure compliance with contractual, client, and regulatory requirements
  • Review assemblies and installations for completeness and compliance with IFC drawings and project specifications
  • Identify, document, and track deficiencies, and monitor corrective actions
  • Identify and track damaged or non-conforming materials
  • Coordinate with Materials Management regarding repair or replacement of non-conforming materials
  • Maintain and update the Master Punch List
  • Compile Progressive Turnover Packages and QA/QC documentation
