About The Position

Assist Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for a direct hire opportunity in Bensenville. This position is responsible for inspecting parts, products, and processes to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards using precision measuring equipment. The ideal candidate has blueprint reading experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working to close tolerances in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of one year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Ability to inspect unusual or non-standard parts to very close tolerances.
Basic shop math skills.
Good visual inspection ability.
Basic computer skills.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Candidates should be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Sit for extended periods as needed. Responsibilities

Inspect parts, materials, and finished products for conformance to quality specifications.
Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and other technical documentation.
Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
Compare products to sample models and parts lists to ensure assembly accuracy.
Identify irregularities, defects, and nonconforming material.
Inspect unusual or non-standard components requiring close tolerances.
Follow established quality system procedures.
Communicate inspection findings with production, technical staff, and management.
Maintain accurate inspection documentation.
