About The Position

Malone's CNC Machining, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Grove, Oklahoma. This is a hands-on role involving the inspection of fabricated parts and components in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The company has a strong focus on precision manufacturing for the U.S. government, with long-term contracts supporting military aircraft programs. Malone's CNC Machining, Inc. was founded in 1982 and operates from a 20,000 sq. ft. facility, employing approximately 40 people. They manage a significant number of active government contracts, providing stability and consistency for their employees.

Requirements

  • Previous quality inspection work in a machine shop environment/manufacturing required.
  • Proficient in the use of height gages, micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other standard quality tools.
  • Ability to understand aircraft industry mylars, drawings, terminology, and process sheets.
  • Understanding and ability to define and communicate (both verbally & written) non-conformances to leadership, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications for machined parts from sheet metal and other manufacturing components and materials.
  • Previous experience using precision measuring equipment and tools (calipers, height gage, indicators, optical devices, micrometers, CMM, Faro Arm, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Mathematical skills such as the ability to calculate figures and amounts, and apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry, and trig.
  • Must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
  • Must work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on mylar layout and/or dimensional inspections of fabricated parts and components.
  • Inspect all incoming materials to verify conformance to requirements.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Complete required documentation, including AS9102 documents.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other internal documents.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and technical measurements.
  • Demonstrate ability to use inspection equipment such as gages/tooling.
  • Responsible for the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Report inspection results and initiate and handle non-conformances for production components and incoming materials.
  • Responsible for maintenance of inspection records/documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
