Aerospace Machine Shop is looking for a Quality Inspector. King Machine specializes in the manufacture of precision CNC machined parts and assemblies for the global aerospace industry. Requirements

• Knowledge of CMM inspection
• Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Perform basic shop math
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5
• Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with PC-DMIS is preferred.
• CAD skills are preferred.
• Hardness and conductivity inspection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts in support of an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.
• CMM and manual first part and final inspection.
• Receiving inspection of supplier furnished product and services.
• Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).
