About The Position

This position involves the detailed inspection of Electrical Control Panels, Junction Boxes, and Wire Harnesses based on electrical blueprints. The panel shop Quality Inspector is responsible for the physical inspection of wiring and testing of electrical panels for industrial equipment, using a multi meter to test all controls against their respective blueprints.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings.
Ability to use torque wrenches and torque screw drivers.
Willingness to work overtime occasionally as necessary.
Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excell

Nice To Haves

Technical or post-graduate education
1+ Years experience in a Manufacturing environment
UL 508A Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Dimensioning and layout of back panels and enclosures
Torque check of devices
Applying labels and stickers to cabinets.
Review corrections to be made with panel builders and verify corrections when panel builder is finished.
Fill out quality check sheet for panels / cabinets.
When the panel/cabinet is finished, take pictures to be stored on the server.
Checking of components to back panels and enclosures for location and tightness.
Point-to-point Continuity checks of Relays, Controls, PLC's, I/O Modules, VFD's, Interfaces & Instrumentation
Troubleshooting as needed to eliminate errors and potential component malfunctions.
Maintaining redline drawing mark-ups of any changes required during manufacturing (as signed off by Engineering)
Communicate effectively with all team members as well as Management.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong attention to quality and details
Teamwork approach and ability to help in other areas as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
