About The Position

CH Thompson is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team! If you have a great eye for detail, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in getting the little things right, this could be a great opportunity for you. As a Quality Inspector, you'll work at a designated inspection table processing repeat customer parts. You'll visually inspect painted parts for defects, carefully remove masking materials, and perform touch-up work when necessary to ensure the finished part meets customer requirements. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented production role where consistency and attention to detail are critical. You'll become familiar with the specific requirements of the customers and parts you work with and learn what to look for during each inspection.

• Comfortable performing detailed work with small parts and masking materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to learn paint touch-up techniques.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect painted parts for defects, imperfections, and areas requiring attention.
• Carefully remove masking materials such as tape, plugs, and liquid mask after processing.
• Identify common paint defects and other imperfections.
• Perform minor paint touch-ups as needed.
• Ensure touch-up work blends appropriately with the surrounding finish.
• Follow customer-specific work instructions and inspection requirements.
• Maintain consistent quality while processing repeat production parts.
• Recheck parts after touch-up to ensure the finished product meets requirements.
• Keep your inspection area clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate questions or concerns to the Lead or Supervisor.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
