About The Position

Our site in Chaska is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products meet strict quality and customer specifications. You will perform visual and measurement-based inspections, complete process audits, document findings, and partner closely with production teams to resolve discrepancies. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, enjoy analytical work, and are motivated to grow within a team-oriented environment. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 6A-2PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures
  • Competency in reading blueprints, technical specifications, and inspection documentation.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, dial indicators, optical comparators, smart scopes, and CMM equipment

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 Years of quality/inspection in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP, quality systems, or digital inspection tools preferred
  • Understanding of statistical process control (SPC), basic chart interpretation, and capability analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications using visual, mechanical, and measurement-based methods
  • Perform measurement tests using tools such as calipers, pin gages, height gages, indicators, micrometers, optical comparators, smart scopes, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
  • Approve or reject product based on defined criteria; create quality notifications (QN) for nonconformances and document findings thoroughly
  • Communicate discrepancies promptly to supervisors and production teams, partnering to determine root causes and appropriate next steps
  • Complete inspection reports, logs, and digital entries within quality databases and ERP systems such as SAP
  • Conduct process audits and perform capability studies to support continuous improvement and process stability
  • Keep measurement equipment in good working order by following operation guidelines and reporting repair needs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by following all standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support cross-functional teams with data, insights, and collaborative problem solving to drive product and process excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support quality, production goals, and customer expectations.
