Quality Inspector (Day Shift)
About The Position
Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform basic quality control testing and inspection of standard parts, units, equipment, and materials. The role ensures conformance with standards and determines whether products meet requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position is hourly and full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime often required. The schedule may change based on business needs. Work takes place in plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas, as well as on plant grounds. The facility operates multiple shifts and frequent weekend shifts. The role may require coverage beyond normal hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays, and flexibility to work first or second shift. The work environment can involve high and low temperatures and loud manufacturing-plant noise.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate high ethical standards, treat coworkers with dignity and respect, and support a positive working culture.
- Flexibility with shift hours and willingness to work either first or second shift.
- Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in two NDE inspection methods, or the ability to become certified.
- Qualification as a Weld Inspection Specialist, or the ability to become qualified within 90 days.
- At least two years of welding experience.
- One year of experience with ISO standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform nondestructive examinations to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Use inspection tools and measuring equipment proficiently.
- Inspect finished products.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
