About The Position

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Quality Inspector to join the team. This position performs visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished goods to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customers, and to company operating procedures. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and quality processes (Internal Procedures, ISO 9001, etc.).
  • Ability to use various precision equipment including (but not limited to) Micrometers, Calipers, Fixtures, Thread Gages etc.
  • Basic blueprint reading & GD&T.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (machined components, hose, tube, bending, welding etc.).
  • Visual Inspection.
  • Ability to use basic hand measuring tools.
  • Product dimensional inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications/technical data.
  • Elementary level shop math.
  • Reviews Certifications.
  • Maintains inspection reports/logs as required.
  • Results and action oriented.
  • Meets productivity standards (as defined by management), completes work in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and promotes a clean, FOD free, and organized work area.
  • Safety-minded and adheres to all company policies and practices safe work habits.
  • Has a can-do attitude. Approaches others in a tactful and respectful manner.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
