About The Position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that manufactured products, components, and processes meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections and tests at incoming, in-process, and final stages of production to ensure product conformity and prevent nonconforming material from reaching the customer. The Quality Inspector works closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify defects, document nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with quality management systems (such as ISO 9001), supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a culture of quality throughout the manufacturing operation.

Requirements

  • 1–3 year’s experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Hands-on experience performing: Incoming inspection, In-process checks, Final product inspections
  • Experience supporting: Nonconformance reports (NCRs), Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Experience with first article inspections (FAI)
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) basics
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
  • Ability to train operators on inspection or quality awareness
  • Experience supporting customer or third-party audits
  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
  • Must be able to see details at close range.
  • Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing (HVAC, automotive, electrical, pressure systems, or UL/ETL-listed products preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements before release
  • Detect and prevent defects through consistent inspection and testing
  • Provide accurate inspection records and quality data to support decision-making
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts
  • Incoming material inspection
  • In-process and final product inspection
  • Use of inspection tools, gauges, and test equipment
  • Documentation of inspection results and nonconformances
  • Support of audits, corrective actions, and quality initiatives
  • Manufacturing floor and inspection areas
  • Interaction with production lines, warehouses, and engineering support
  • Use of mechanical, electrical, or dimensional measurement tools
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
