Requirements

  • Experience as a quality inspector or in a related position a plus
  • You must be detail-oriented and show a result-oriented approach
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Familiarity with quality testing systems and machines is desired
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and quality control standards is desired
  • A quality control certificate is a strong plus (ISO 9000, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • High School Degree/GED Required minimum; Higher qualifications will be valued
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Must have 90 days of production Line experience within the Bryan facility
  • No disciplinary violations or attendence violations within the last 60 days
  • Must have a written endorsement from current supervisor
  • Must pass exam after one week of training
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Responsibilities

  • Read drawings and instructions to understand quality expectations for product and supplies
  • Approving or rejecting finished goods against quality standards
  • Select product samples and check them using appropriate methods (measurement of dimensions, functional tests, comparison with specifications, etc.)
  • Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
  • Maintain records of tests, information, and various measurements, such as the number of defective products per day, etc.
  • Inspect finished products to meet minimum customer focused standards for FORM-FIT-FUNCTION & SAFETY
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure it is safe and properly maintained, as well as discard anything that does not meet requirements
  • Prepare and send reports to the quality manager
