The Quality Inspector is responsible for documenting the results of final inspections and defects found during manufacturing. This role identifies opportunities for improvement and reports suggested solutions to prevent reoccurring defects and errors. The Quality Inspector also communicates defects and errors back to merchandiser production for swift corrective action, packages merchandisers being moved into Finished Goods Inventory, and aids production and inventory control in maintaining an accurate inventory. A key part of this role is performing final inspections on finished products to ensure units conform to safety, customer, quality, functional, appearance, and other requirements.
