The Quality Inspector role is crucial for performing quality assurance and quality control inspections on manufactured products before they are delivered to project sites. This position acts as the final quality verification step, ensuring adherence to company standards, vendor quality requirements, and customer specifications. The role also involves compiling and reporting quality metrics to support continuous improvement efforts and collaborates closely with the QA/QC Program Manager and manufacturing teams at the SLC Manufacturing site.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in QA/QC inspection or manufacturing quality roles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in quality reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with ERP/QMS systems.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Certification in quality auditing or inspection (e.g., ASQ CQI).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed QA/QC inspections on finished goods to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records for multi-sites.
  • Generate quality reports and track non-conformance issues in the QMS.
  • Collect and analyze quality data.
  • Prepare and provide weekly/monthly reports to the QA/QC Program Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to company SOPs, verify vendors provide QAQC reports, and confirm customer requirements before shipment.
  • Communicate defects and trends to manufacturing teams for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC Program Manager and site teams to resolve quality issues and align on standards.
  • Serve as the last checkpoint for quality before products are released for delivery to site.
