About The Position

Performs routine incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product conformance to defined specifications and engineering requirements. Supports quality control operations by following established procedures, identifying nonconformances, and escalating issues for review to ensure product quality compliance. Works under guidance while building proficiency in inspection methods, systems, and quality processes.

Requirements

0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality inspection or a related technical environment preferred.
Basic understanding of inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic engineering drawings
Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation
High school diploma or equivalent required
Candidate must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or PCBA assemblies is beneficial but not required.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., LN) or quality tracking systems. (e.g., JIRA)
Familiarity with ESD handling requirements
Exposure to IPC-A-610 standards or similar inspection criteria
Technical training or coursework in manufacturing, electronics, or quality inspection preferred
IPC-A-610 certification (preferred or to be obtained within role progression if applicable)

Responsibilities

Performs incoming, in-process, and final inspections independently using standard measurement tools and equipment to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and quality criteria.
Primary resource for executing Final Quality Assurance (FQA) inspections in accordance with established procedures and methods.
Interprets basic engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection criteria to identify defects and ensure product compliance.
Documents inspection results accurately in applicable systems (e.g., LN/ERP, JIRA, or inspection records) to maintain traceability and data integrity.
Identifies nonconforming material and initiates discrepant material processes, including proper tagging, segregation, and escalation for disposition.
Supports Material Review Board (MRB) activities by providing inspection data and observations under guidance.
Ensures compliance with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and handling requirements, supports adherence to ESD practices within work areas through execution of regular ESD audits.
Uses quality systems and tools (e.g., SPOT, JIRA, ERP) to execute inspection related tasks and track quality issues.
Maintains inspection equipment and work areas in accordance with standard procedures, including basic verification of tools prior to use.
Participates in training and certification activities to build proficiency in inspection methods, systems, and product knowledge.
Assists with inventory movement and Return to Stock (RTS) transaction as required.
Provides support during audits or quality reviews by gathering inspection records and documentation.
Supports cross-functional teams during periods of high workload or priority builds under direction.
