The position is safety-sensitive and requires participation in a drug testing program.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of inspection/quality-control experience on aerospace components or a related field.
  • Competent in performing evaluation, final, receiving, preliminary, and in-process inspections on a variety of components.
  • Skilled at evaluating repair work for completeness and compliance to technical data.

  • Working experience as an Aircraft Technician in an overhaul and repair environment

  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluation and final inspection tasks on components listed on the training Competency Sheet.
  • Perform receiving inspections, preliminary inspections, and in-process inspections on all components worked in the facility.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and gages such as feeler gages, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Evaluate repair work performed within the facility or sent to outside sources for completeness and compliance to technical data.
  • Follow procedures found in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORI’s, OREI’s, drawings, check sheets, etc.
  • Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper identification of parts, operational sequence, and recorded information on appropriate documentation.
  • Interpret documentation received with incoming cores to determine adequate traceability and history.
  • Research compliance requirements of components in work using AD’s, ASB’s, and other technical data.
  • Locate technical data such as operation sheets, manuals, ASB’s, ORI’s, OREI’s, and blueprints.
  • Competent in the use of torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specification SS9300.
  • Filing and archiving of records.
  • Adhere to all EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
  • Tag and report to TPM Manager any equipment that is unsafe or requires maintenance.
  • Segregate hazardous waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
  • Work occasional overtime as required to support business requirements.
