About The Position

Fry Reglet is seeking a responsible and driven Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products. This position will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess and keen eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. The goal is to ensure our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in Manufacturing facility
  • High degree of time management to handle multiple and concurrent tasks
  • Ability to lead, interface, and work effectively with other departments
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to interact professionally at all levels of the organization
  • 1 – 3 years of related experience in safety and training leadership roles.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting CAD drawings/technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of gauges, calipers, and tape measurements.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with strong math skills
  • Proven experience with metal fabrication
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Resilient self-starter, who can act independently and learn quickly within a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to see big picture.
  • Strong ability with MS Office programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpretation of data to effectively manage risk.
  • Responsible for data integrity and timely reporting to management.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with limited direct supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Continuous Improvement training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather drawings and applicable technical specifications
  • Review and understand the specs
  • Inspect all materials for compliance with the specifications
  • Correct material for application
  • Visual Dimensional Quantity Mock-up (as required for proof of functionality and accuracy)
  • Document inspection results on drawings (for accounting and reference)
  • Maintain inspection records
  • Identify satisfactory material with “QC Accepted” and “unsat” material with “QC Rejected” decals
  • Report results to manufacturing supervisor Acceptance Discrepancies Rejects
  • Stage material in an orderly manner
  • Maintain inspection tools and calibrated instruments
  • Maintain Quality Reporting.
  • Recognizing QA policies, procedures, and directives for development and compliance while providing feedback and follow up to ensure proper corrective action is achieved.
  • Focus on continual growth of our Quality at the Source program, ensuring that the program is effective, and that all Team Members are preforming their own quality checks as well as collecting quality data.
