The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting products, materials, and components to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting routine checks, testing, and measurements of machined and assembled goods to detect defects or deviations from design specifications. You will be part of a Quality team dedicated to maintaining high-quality output and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude; manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work constructively with others, demonstrated dependability, effective verbal and written communication skills, heightened attention to detail, ability to follow through, and commitment to team & collaboration.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Applicants receiving a conditional offer of employment are required to provide information to determine eligibility as defined by ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Beginner blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Beginner knowledge of metrology/gaging.
  • Beginner knowledge of quality tools and lab equipment.
  • Beginner understanding of problem solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate quality requirements to Machine Operators, Assembly Techs, and management as necessary.
  • Read and interpret engineering and customer drawings/specifications to ensure conformance of parts.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control tests, inspection reports, and non-conformance issues within Quality Management and ERP systems.
  • Perform first article inspections, spot checks, and in-process inspections.
  • Isolate and document non-conforming products.
  • Sort and certify rejected/scrapped non-conforming products.
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality inspection rates in alignment with departmental KPIs.
  • Perform other quality control duties as assigned.
