About The Position

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for Quality Inspection: Primary Function: To perform checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished goods.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance processes and/or procedures.
  • Knowledge of military and commercial quality specifications.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry.
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical inspection.
  • Knowledge of workmanship standards.
  • Knowledge of packaging and preservation requirements.
  • Understanding of Total Quality principles and concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use electrical and mechanical inspection equipment.
  • Ability to develop and/or use simple to complex inspection set-ups.
  • Basic algebraic skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret detailed specifications, drawings, procedures, and schematics.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • This position will be exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements is the minimum standard for those whose work deals largely with visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, computer terminal, and using measuring devices.
  • 1-2 years related experience with a High School diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs audits, tests, and inspections of materials, goods in process, or finished goods within the value stream (receiving through final system assembly) assuring quality first by determining compliance to drawings, procedures, and specifications.
  • Applies established inspection procedures and uses simple inspection/testing tools and instruments of a “go/no go” nature.
  • Develops and/or uses test and inspection set-ups utilizing mechanical and/or electrical test measurement equipment.
  • Inspection methods and limits require good judgment and interpretation.
  • Requires interpretation of inspection plans, tests and procedures.
  • Recommends changes to procedures, processes, and drawings to improve efficiency and/or quality of the product.
  • Identifies and documents nonconforming material in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Assists and trains others in assuring the proper test, measurement, and procedural operations.
  • Ensure adherences to policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Practices Total Quality principles and concepts.
  • Acquire IPC-610/STD 001 and IPC-620 Certifications as applicable
