About The Position

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Quality Inspector to support its Camden, AR site. In this role, you will ensure that critical defense products like missiles and launchers conform to requirements and function as expected, working in various environments. The position involves contributing directly to the safety and effectiveness of defense systems alongside skilled engineers and technicians. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have the desire and/or ability to use inspection tools such as digital calipers, go/no go gages, micrometers, fixtures and other basic gages
  • Ability to work from inspection instructions, blueprints/drawings and specifications
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work in various climates and around explosives

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is a plus
  • Prior inspection experience in a production environment
  • Prior SAP/APRISO/MRO Software experience is a plus (on the job training will be provided)
  • Strong teaming ability and effective communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Be able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections on in-process and completed products as per defined planning/work instructions
  • Check dimensions, verify functionality and perform required quality inspections defined in planning/work instructions
  • Create quality/service notifications for all noted nonconformance's, perform sorts and stock purges
  • Work from blueprints/drawings, interpret specifications
  • Audit assigned work area for compliance to requirements such as age of materials, calibrations of equipment, area content and tagging
