About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team, which is responsible for producing and validating hardware for sophisticated missile systems and launch vehicles. As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for tackling complex technical problems, delivering innovative solutions, and independently driving quality improvements across inspection and assembly processes. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM related field or higher.
  • Interim secret clearance required prior to start and must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Advanced knowledge of AS9100D Quality systems and pertinent Quality practices.
  • Mechanical skills and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) understanding.
  • Ability to develop, apply, and analyze effectiveness of quality methods.
  • Ability to proactively review and develop documentation/drawing for compliance with requirements, use tools for documentation and corrective action of non-conformances.

  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certification with knowledge of statistical process controls.
  • Effective time management and good organizational skills.
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust quality inspection procedures that support assembly operations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, tool technicians, and customers to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and lead inspection effort teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve long-range objectives and explore new concepts.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and represent the organization at relevant conferences.
