About The Position

This role requires knowledge of industry-specific codes and standards. The inspector will interpret and evaluate inspection results for welding fit-up and filler metal placement against applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating testing equipment, performing non-destructive tests using visual inspection (VT), Ultrasonic testing (UT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to identify errors or defects, and overseeing welder qualification tests and evaluating welder performance. Accurate record-keeping and adherence to safety rules are essential. Overtime is expected and required to meet production goals.

Requirements

  • CWI-Certification Required.
  • Knowledge of industry specific codes and standards.
  • Ability to set up and calibrate all testing equipment.
  • Proficiency in visual inspection techniques (VT), Ultrasonic testing (UT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate inspection results.
  • Ability to complete and maintain required records.

  • Accurately complete and maintain all required records.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
