About The Position

The Quality Inspector Technician will be responsible for reviewing shop travelers, conducting various inspections, and ensuring compliance with aerospace specifications and drawings. This role involves creating essential data packets, supporting manufacturing and engineering, and managing non-conforming products. The technician will also utilize inspection tools and methods to verify product quality and adherence to standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings
  • Highly skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Familiarity with FAA Rule, Policy and Guidance Material CFR14 Part 21, 43, 45. FAA Order 8130.2 and 8130.21. AC21-2L Bi-Lateral agreements
  • Skilled in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong communication (written/verbal)
  • Basic math
  • Computer literacy
  • Problem-solving
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review shop Travelers for accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct In-Process, and Final inspections
  • Conduct First Article Inspections using AS9102 Forms and documentation
  • Conduct Receiving inspection/verification of product and relating certifications
  • Review certification documents and records required to create a Certificate of Conformance
  • Create end item data packets such as Certificates of Conformance, Indented Parts List and Configuration summary for internal and external inspections
  • Complete customer Source Inspections for detail parts and assemblies
  • Interface with program engineering and customers on Material Review Board issues
  • Verify and control non-conforming product and the Material Review Board (MRB) process
  • Use CMM, Faro Arms and other inspection tools and methods to inspect tooling, first article and production parts
  • Provide Quality/Inspection verification support to Manufacturing and Engineering personnel
  • Verify and control tool calibration cycles and the supporting documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
