About The Position

Incodema3D is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector / Programmer to join their advanced manufacturing team. This role involves developing, validating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and 3D scanning programs to inspect additive and machined components. The position requires independently conducting visual and mechanical dimensional inspections, verifying conformance to engineering specifications, and documenting processes to uphold rigorous aerospace and high-precision manufacturing standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, technical trade school graduate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of dimensional inspection and programming experience.
  • Proven experience programming with Zeiss Calypso and GOM Blue Light software packages.
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret advanced technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated robust work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Prior experience in aerospace (AS9100) or additive manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Write, test, and implement CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso and 3D scanning programs via GOM Blue Light software.
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and optical comparators.
  • Analyze and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T controls to verify part compliance.
  • Create detailed inspection plans and standardized operational instructions for operators to execute established CMM programs.
  • Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming material in strict accordance with quality management procedures.
  • Inspect parts for surface defects, including cracks, pits, and irregularities resulting from additive or machining processes.
  • Compile, analyze, and format inspection results using Microsoft Office and specialized manufacturing software.
