About The Position

Leidos is seeking a talented PCMM Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The PCMM Technician will be responsible for inspecting large scale parts at various stages of machining from first piece to final inspection utilizing Romer arms, Laser trackers, or scanners (handheld or blue light) as well as any manual layout. Examples of parts are weldments, integrated assemblies, tooling etc. Other responsibilities include documenting non-conforming material as required, providing concise feedback to machinists and engineers based of data collection, and maintain all measurement equipment. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 3-5 of prior relevant work years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent with standard measurement equipment, i.e. micrometers, calipers, intra micrometers, optical comparator etc.
  • 4 or more years’ experience using Romer Arm, AS1 Scanner, Leica AT960 Laser Tracker, Leica AT402 Laser Tracker, or CMM
  • Proficient in GD&T per ASMEY14.5-2009
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Spatial Analyzer or similar PCMM software
  • Experience in inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non-conforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / First Article Inspection
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting large scale parts at various stages of machining from first piece to final inspection utilizing Romer arms, Laser trackers, or scanners (handheld or blue light) as well as any manual layout.
  • Documenting non-conforming material as required.
  • Providing concise feedback to machinists and engineers based of data collection.
  • Maintain all measurement equipment.
  • Execute or witness test procedures and generate test reports.
  • Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s and NCR’s.
