About The Position

ACSI is seeking a full-time ASNT - Level III Technician to support its Houston Facility. This role involves performing examinations of materials in accordance with established procedures, codes, standards, and specifications. Key responsibilities include teaching classes, administering written and practical exams, and maintaining certifications. The technician will also be responsible for providing on-the-job training and guidance to trainees. The position requires interfacing with department managers and clients to determine the scope of work and priorities, preparing written instructions, and organizing and reporting examination results. The successful candidate must be capable of working independently while also supporting team members and performing other assigned job-related tasks.

Requirements

  • ASNT - Level III Technician – Meet the minimum requirements of a Level III Technician to attain certifications for MT, PT, UT and VT within 6 months from hire date
  • Provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s)
  • Have a working knowledge of industrial environments (ASME, NAVSEA, AWS D1.1 ASTM E164) and general manufacturing processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems
  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and a background check

Responsibilities

  • Experience teaching classes, administering written and practical exams, and maintaining certifications
  • Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees
  • Interface with department managers and clients to determine the scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations
  • Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations
  • Work independently and support team members
  • Perform other job-related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors
  • Replace or assist other workers as deemed necessary
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by a supervisor or manager
