About The Position

Incumbents are responsible for inspecting parts for stress and failure using multiple machines per regulatory and internal requirements. They are also responsible for inspecting parts for dimensional characteristics and compliance to specifications.

Requirements

• Knowledge of physical properties
• Basic knowledge of quality cointrol and manufacturing processes
• Strong mathematical skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints
• Must be able to comprehend and retain internal and regulatory requirements
• Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hrs a day.
• Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes
• Must be able to use micrometers, calipers and indicators
• Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures
• Must be able to interpret gages and the use of them.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic
• Required OSHA safety training
• Job Specific Training

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform regulatory and internal customer specific testing
• Perform internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic checks. Perform 1st piece inspections, receiving inspections, hydrocarbon testing as required by customer and/or regulatory specifications.
• Complete all lab work and paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned
