About The Position

Position Summary: The Quality Inspector – Level 2 is an intermediate level inspector, with the ability to fully perform the role of Quality Inspector – Level 1 along with the ability to read and interprt complex blueprints and engineerig documentation and apply an advanced knowledge of manual tools. The Quality Inspector – Level 2 is capable of a wide range of inspection activities to include the inspection of machined parts, assemblies, raw material, heat treat, and outside processing. Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm Shift differential of $2.50/hr. Reporting Relationships: The Quality Inspector – Level 2 reports directly to the Inspection Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, Bushing and bearing installation.
Proficient in basic computer skills
Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements
Experience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry, ability to calculate dimensions, set sine plate, etc.
Basic understanding of BQMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclature
Fully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection tools
Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
Ability to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals
High School Diploma or equivalent education

Responsibilities

Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machine parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, simple assemblies, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
Document FAI report
Document non-conformances
May occasionally perform special projects
Other duties as assigned
