About The Position

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. Inspect in-process and completed products using established methods, specifications, and inspection procedures. Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Perform inspections on mechanical, electrical, and structural components to verify compliance with engineering requirements. Review drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, inspection instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Make acceptance, rejection, or rework decisions based on inspection results. Identify defective or non-conforming products and ensure corrective actions are taken. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Support manufacturing quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of additional education and/or direct experience in Quality Assurance or Inspection.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, gages, and other inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, detail control plans, work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and related documentation.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make quality acceptance/rejection decisions.
