About The Position

Under direct supervision, Quality Inspector - Level 1 train to develop the ability to use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspection of products such as machined parts, mechanical assemblies, processed parts and purchased standard hardware. They also perform verifications of part identification and configurations.

Requirements

• Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, Bushing and bearing installation, electrical bonding, and fastener installation as required.
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting blueprints and engineering requirements
• Basic understanding of BQMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
• Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace terminology and nomenclature
• Experienced with basic manual inspection tools
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
• Ability to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machine parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
• Document FAI report
• Document non-conformances
• May occasionally perform special projects
• Other duties as assigned
