About The Position

The Quality Inspector III is a senior-level position responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying materials, processes, and finished products to ensure they meet established standards, contract requirements, and internal quality procedures. This position requires extensive technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently on complex assignments. The role emphasizes innovation, quality, and collaboration to ensure operational readiness and reliability while mentoring junior team members and contributing to organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical coursework or certifications required.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or inspection roles.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality and DoD standards.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, quality standards, and industry regulations, including DoD contractor requirements.
  • Advanced math skills, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and shop math.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO-based and/or AS-based quality systems.
  • Familiarity with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in Machining, Welding, Estimating and/or Drafting a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on parts, assemblies, and materials.
  • Verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
  • Identify nonconforming material, initiate NCRs, and support corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain quality system compliance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including DoD contractor policies.
  • Participate in and lead safety training initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain security clearance requirements and follow all protocols for handling sensitive information and materials.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and training to junior technicians, fostering skill development and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to complete complex projects and resolve technical challenges in a defense-focused environment.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and stakeholders to report progress, issues, and recommendations.
