About The Position
Our client, a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing company in the Buffalo area, is looking to add an experienced Quality Inspector II to their quality team. This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong manufacturing inspection background who enjoys working in a precision-driven environment where quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement are top priorities.
Requirements
- Associate degree or at least five years of manufacturing experience in a quality inspection environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical assembly documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and AWS inspection standards is highly desirable.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Mechanical inspection of machined components
- PCB or electronic assembly inspection
- Weld inspection
- Document control experience
- Continuous improvement and quality systems knowledge
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and finished products.
- Inspect machined parts, welded assemblies, soldered components, and completed products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and customer requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
- Generate Material Review Reports (MRRs) and identify non-conforming materials.
- Review production documentation for accuracy before product release.
- Enter inspection results into the company's ERP system.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Support audits and maintain compliance with customer and industry quality standards.
