About The Position
Rimeco Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to join our Quality team. This position is responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspection of precision-machined components and supporting the Quality Department in maintaining the high level of quality required by our customers. The Quality Inspector II is an experienced inspection position requiring a strong understanding of dimensional inspection, GD&T, inspection equipment, quality documentation, and manufacturing processes. This individual will work closely with Quality, Milling, Turning, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure product meets drawing and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dimensional inspection or a related quality inspection role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using common precision measuring equipment.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and manufacturing/ERP software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and quality personnel.
- Ability to independently identify, document, and communicate quality concerns.
Nice To Haves
- Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
- Experience operating and/or performing basic programming of a CMM or Keyence inspection system.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable working in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience in CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing, First Article Inspection, CMM inspection, and GD&T.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of precision-machined components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Utilize standard inspection equipment and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform simple programming and operation of CMM and/or Keyence inspection equipment.
- Assist with gage calibration and calibration records.
- Complete Certificates of Conformance (COCs), final inspection documentation, and customer delivery packages.
- Prepare documentation and inspect components for First Article Inspection Reports.
- Initiate and document internal NCRs, customer returns, and vendor returns as required.
- Assist the Quality Manager with internal audits and other Quality Management System activities.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns with the Quality Manager, department managers, machinists, and other appropriate personnel.
- Support production personnel in understanding and following Rimeco quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and complete inspection records and documentation.
