Quality Inspector 2 - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Quality Inspector II - Final Inspection uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements and in accordance with quality specifications. They utilize a variety of computer systems, statistical control processes, and may use measuring devices to perform in-process, final, and product feature inspections. The role involves inspecting actual products on the floor and on-line, raising notifications of non-conformance, quarantining non-conforming product, and, when approved, providing scrap or standard rework disposition.
Requirements
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Work applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, and other pertinent instruction and/or Approved Technical Data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages, and other equipment.
- Accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings.
- Use fixed or variable measuring instruments where work instructions require checking dimensions and recording results.
- Perform simple mathematical computations to determine pass/fail results based on allowed tolerance.
- Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions and ensure Work Instructions are being followed.
- Recognize the need for and arrange for repair or calibration of measuring equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
- Maintain Inspection stamp.
- Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Flexibility around shifts for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.
