About The Position
The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from quality requirements. The Quality Inspector I collaborates closely with production teams to provide timely feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Familiarity with quality systems and software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or certification in quality assurance, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Proficiency with quality documentation software and data entry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of materials and products using precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Conduct in-process and final product testing to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately and report any non-conformances or defects to the quality management team.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date to guarantee measurement accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols and quality procedures consistently to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
