About The Position

This role involves performing various types of inspections on electromechanical components, with a focus on welding integrity and assembly. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring that products and services meet quality standards and drawing specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of inspection techniques, equipment calibration, and quality control systems. The inspector will also be responsible for reporting on manufacturing progress, supplier quality, and providing on-site support as a representative of the company.

Requirements

  • Experience inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Welding experience and inspection techniques for weld integrity.
  • 5 years of professional experience OR 3 years of experience with ASME or CWI certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of products or services from external providers (e.g., nickel plating).
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of critical features, including witness inspection.
  • Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects.
  • Verify that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate the execution of the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing sites' ramp progress, equipment quality performance, and delivery details by Data Center site.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of suppliers' factories and report results.
  • Drive closure of non-conformance findings.
  • Ensure suppliers' quality control systems document findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment.
  • Validate equipment acceptability, ensuring no issues and compliance with the Level 1 commissioning process (Red/Orange tags) before shipment.
  • Act as on-site support representing the company.
  • Inspect rivets and mechanical assemblies.
  • Read diagrams for wiring assembly.
