About The Position

The Quality Inspector D performs inspections of materials, equipment, electromechanical assemblies, and panel- or module-level assemblies. The role interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and lists to approve or reject units and systems for in-process or final assemblies. The inspector validates products and documentation for compliance with applicable requirements and prepares items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience; or 2 years of post-secondary education/an associate’s degree and at least 4 years of prior related experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.
• Experience with electronic workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products and associated documents in accordance with L3Harris Workmanship Standards, engineering requirements, customer specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, and other applicable requirements.
• Ensure products and services conform to established company standards.
• Conduct first article inspections to verify that new or modified products meet specified requirements.
• Understand and apply corrective and preventive action processes, including root cause analysis.
• Recommend and help implement continuous improvements to processes and products.
• Provide training to new inspectors.
• Provide feedback on Inspection Control Plans for MNs worked in the area.
• Work with minimal support to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Validate products and documentation for compliance and prepare items for customer acceptance and delivery.
