About The Position

Allan Aircraft, an AS9100D certified company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector specializing in CMM/Vision Systems. This role is crucial for ensuring that precision-machined components meet stringent engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards within the aerospace industry. The inspector will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and programming advanced inspection equipment, analyzing data, and collaborating with various teams to uphold quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Quality Assurance Workflows, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply metric and conversion mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of precision-machined components to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and applicable quality standards.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T, engineering drawings, machining processes, and inspection requirements to accurately evaluate product conformity.
  • Program, operate, and maintain digital inspection and vision measurement equipment, including Keyence IM/VR Series, Oasis Vision Systems, Fowler F60T, or similar systems.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize inspection programs to ensure accurate and repeatable measurement results.
  • Analyze measurement data, document inspection results, and maintain accurate quality and traceability records in accordance with aerospace requirements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions and assist with determining appropriate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and Quality personnel to resolve inspection issues and support continuous process improvement.
  • Verify product compliance prior to release and ensure only conforming products proceed to the next stage of production or shipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
