About The Position

SQA Services is a leading provider of managed supplier quality services, offering a range of solutions including audits, assessments, remote surveillance, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering services to manufacturers across various industries. They utilize a network of skilled associates globally to provide rapid on-site support at supplier locations. The company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to join their team in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time position with two shift options: a 4x10 hour schedule starting at 5:00 am (Sun-Wed with potential overtime on Thursday) or a 2:30 pm start (Wed-Sat with potential overtime on Tuesday). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cable and harness inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to producing high-quality work. This role offers a flexible opportunity to apply expertise in a dynamic setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components.
  • Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate.
  • Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements.
  • Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper personnel.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance files and documents results of all inspections.
