About The Position

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company and a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms. Our solutions support the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. This role is for an Inspector B to help ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of critical aerospace components. In this role, you'll perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive inspections on turbine blades, vanes, and other aircraft engine components while verifying compliance with engineering, customer, and company specifications. Your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability, repairing and manufacturing critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proven ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Previous experience performing visual and dimensional inspections required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain visual acuity certification in accordance with NAS-410 (corrective lenses permitted)
  • Only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components.
  • Inspect turbine blades, vanes, and other aircraft engine components for dimensional and visual conformity.
  • Use measuring and testing equipment including calipers, micrometers, comparators, rulers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on a variety of part types.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections, including airflow, surface finish, magnetoscope, and core inspections.
  • Identify, document, and communicate product, process, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending quality and process enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and production requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
