Quality Inspection Technician

Cynet Systems•Sugar Land, TX

About The Position

The Quality Inspection Technician conducts quality control activities, including inspections, tests, and results reporting. The role combines practical inspection skills with an understanding of the Quality Management System and how nonconformances can affect equipment and system performance. The technician inspects incoming materials, in-process assemblies, finished products, documentation, components, and equipment against applicable specifications and procedures. The work is primarily conducted in a laboratory and quality inspection setting within a shop or manufacturing environment, with regular interaction and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams. The technician uses calibrated, suitably repeatable and reproducible measurement systems and precision equipment—including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment—to verify dimensions and document results in the quality database. The role also includes performing manufacturing and engineering tests, assisting with test and fixture design and setup, maintaining familiarity with procedures and test plans, and contributing to continuous improvement. Inspections and tests must be conducted safely, with participation in creating and reviewing hazard analyses and risk controls. The position requires frequent standing, inspection, and component handling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
