Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Developmental Disabilities or Intellectual Disabilities
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Critical thinking
  • Organizational proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity in working with OPWDD and the NYS Justice Center, particularly regarding 624 and 625 regulations
  • Background in quality assurance, risk monitoring, and corrective action strategies
  • Solid understanding of investigative techniques and labor relations

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive quality assurance activities, including audits and surveys
  • Developing and monitoring corrective action plans to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Serving as the agency Investigator for reportable incidents in compliance with 624 regulations
  • Bringing expertise to critical investigations that uphold our commitment to customer-centricity and integrity
  • Directly impacting the quality of service we provide
