About The Position

This role is responsible for the visual inspection and part quality standard inspection of assigned presses. The position involves retrieving parts, performing quality checks, documenting findings, and assisting with various quality-related activities. There are three levels of this position (Level I, II, and III), each with increasing responsibilities including investigation skills, training, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous quality experience a plus
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret part quality standards
  • Plastic injection molding experience a plus
  • Have good people/interpersonal skills
  • Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to interpret inspection results and report results (changes) to tech
  • Ability to show investigation skills to improve quality system (Kaizen) (Level II)
  • Ability to make internal quality reports (IQR) (Level III)

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve parts from injection molding presses
  • Report any issues with machine/diverter shoot to Team Lead/Tech
  • Complete Quality Visual Inspection
  • Interpret inspection results and report changes to tech
  • Complete Part Quality Standard Inspection using calipers, gages, Keyence video comparator, colorimeter, Force Testing, moisture Analyzer and scales
  • Document inspection findings on inspection reports/electronic data collection system
  • Assist in Containment process activities
  • Assist in Clean Point Activity
  • Assist in Pack Station Audit
  • Support training of new associates (Level II)
  • Create Lab work orders using Lab database for quality standard lab requirements (Level II)
  • Support and Train Quality Auditors on shift (Level III)
  • Work closely with production management to investigate root cause and initial countermeasures for quality issues (Level III)
  • Report Quality findings to management via email and reports (Level III)
  • Complete cleanpoint fully and interpret results (Level III)
  • Complete training of new associates (Level III)
  • Make internal quality reports (IQR) (Level III)
