We are seeking an experienced Nurse Quality Improvement Specialist (NQIS) to support Patient Care Services/Departments of Nursing as it strives to achieve its goal of excellence in nursing and quality care to all patients. The NQIS role is responsible for: data management related to nursing quality/nurse sensitive indicators; mentor QI projects and EBP initiatives; database management; alignment of work with nursing professional practice model; and quality initiatives support as follow-up as needed. The NQIS acts as a Department specialist in process and outcome measurement and analysis, performance improvement methodologies, evidence-based practices, relevant legislation, accreditation standards, medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. The role also requires expertise in Lean and Six Sigma process improvement tools, facilitative leadership, change management, and regulatory and licensing standards.
