Quality Improvement Specialist
About The Position
The QI Specialist is responsible for working closely with other members of the Quality department and the Leadership team to ensure quality improvements and successful outcome measures. You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. Devereux Pocono provides programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, the QI Specialist will support quality management including but not limited to data analysis and reporting, demonstrate the ability to affect positive quality improvement in all departments, assist with developing and implementing facilitating quality improvement activities, complete Certified Investigator training hours, and assist all departments in preparation for licensure and audits incorporating recommended improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Health Care Administration or Social Services field. Highschool diploma and additional experience is lieu of degree may be accepted.
- Minimum of 1 year' experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Minimum of one year experience in quality management within the healthcare industry.
- Broad knowledge of healthcare organizational dynamics and delivery systems, principles and practices of quality improvement and regulatory and agency standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project management skills
- Strong data collection and analytic skills utilizing computer applications
- Facilitation and training skills
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and change activities quickly
- Ability to make swift and sound decisions independently
