About The Position

Under the guidance of the RAMS Chief Operating Officer, this position will play a vital role in agency-wide planning, coordinating, and monitoring the effectiveness of clinical care and services based on quality outcomes, effectiveness, and client centeredness with a particular focus on the RAMS Division of Peer-Based Services. This position combines clinical expertise with the skills to lead continuous quality improvement activities & projects and contribute towards a culture of seamless and high quality service delivery by programs in the community.

Requirements

  • Doctorate and/or Masters degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or other related disciplines from an accredited institution
  • Valid clinical licensure in California (e.g., Psychologist, MFT, LCSW, LPCC)
  • Two or more years of post-license experience or five or more years of experience in serving as an administrator, supervisor, and/or clinician of behavioral health services (Medi-Cal)
  • Demonstrated experience with quality assurance, compliance and regulatory oversight of social service programs, mental health systems highly preferred
  • At least one year of direct supervisory experience and knowledge of how to support a highly diverse workforce
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail, excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of interpreting data & summarizing results
  • Must be highly organized and meet deadlines and project expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with San Francisco community services – SF Department of Public Health (Behavioral Health Services), SF Department of Human Services, California Department of Rehabilitation, etc. – including philosophy of care, levels of care for clinical services, and the delivery of such services, highly preferred
  • Familiarity with the San Francisco community resources/services (may include health, mental health, substance abuse, vocational, housing, etc.), highly preferred
  • Strong commitment to the philosophy, goals, & mission of RAMS in providing community-based, culturally competent, and consumer-guided mental health services to the community
  • Commitment to engaging in professional development activities such as trainings, continuing education seminars, case conferences, and reviewing up-to-date material, etc., as related to treatment strategies for the population of RAMS
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively, function independently, and interact professionally with a diverse, multi-cultural, and interdisciplinary staff of all levels
  • Ability to provide bilingual & culturally competent services in Cantonese, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Russian, preferred, which reflect the populations served by RAMS

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate quality assurance and improvement activities through auditing, data collection, research, analysis, and evaluation of programs
  • Conduct client/participant record documentation reviews using EHR systems (e.g., Salesforce, Epic) to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality of care standards (e.g. Medi-Cal, Medicare, CARF, etc.); provide feedback to providers; prepare reports
  • Effectively collaborate with management and staff in preparing for monitoring reviews, audits, and accreditation visits
  • Assist RAMS staff members with navigating the credentialing process and electronic health record onboarding, interfacing as needed with staff members, program leadership, and Dept. of Public Health.
  • Prepare written reports and communicate outcomes in a meaningful way to stakeholders
  • Use technical aptitude to perform data analysis using various databases and spreadsheets
  • Gather and analyze staff, provider, and clinical information from a variety of internal and external sources to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement for effective program operations and workflow
  • Identify, design, and support collaborative implementation of processes and clinical care, based on best- and evidence-based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high risk and/or high volume processes
  • Assist in further developing policies and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication to facilitate positive working relationships and achieve desired outcomes
  • Provide consultation and training in areas of compliance and privacy/HIPAA
  • Represent and actively participate in stakeholder meetings, collaborative meetings with other community-based providers, conferences, and advocacy opportunities
