About The Position

The Quality Health and Safety Manager role is responsible for upholding and advancing superior standards of quality, health, safety, and environment, while also fostering the growth and retention of the company’s customer accounts. This position involves a balance of fieldwork and office tasks, with an expectation of 25% time spent visiting field locations and 75% at HWS and customer facilities. The primary office will be the regional base, with some duties splitting time between customer-designated offices, locations, and facilities. The QHSE will report directly to the District Manager, with secondary or functional reporting to the VP of QHSE and/or VP of HSE.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year experience in the role of Site Supervisor.
  • Demonstrated management experience within HWS, especially in roles such as Sales, FSM, SQC, SQM, EIC, OM, VP, and DM.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales strategies, manage client relationships, and oversee market share and pricing initiatives.
  • Oversee the quality of services delivered, ensure operational efficiency, and uphold health and safety standards.
  • Oversee assets, equipment, and manage personnel effectively.
  • Fulfill customer-specific administrative tasks as needed, keep accurate records of KPIs, databases, personnel training, plus any other assigned administrative responsibilities as needed.
  • Act as a coach and leader to field personnel.
  • Implement and manage new technology systems for safety and quality control.
  • Conduct KPI meeting presentations to communicate performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present QHSE Reports and Presentations.
  • Oversee Grafana for data visualization and analysis.
  • Conduct QHSE audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote the completion of WSRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Manage digital job papers.
  • Implement the Spartan I Program for quality and safety excellence.
  • Lead QHSE incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Organize and oversee CDL classes for relevant personnel.
  • Organize Pressure Control School sessions for relevant staff.
  • Lead accident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
  • Ensure QHSE training has been completed (i.e., Client Specific (ISN), New Hire, Annual).
  • Observe work practices and give immediate feedback to drive safety culture (100% compliance with all requirements).
  • Ensure incidents / concerns are reported to senior management as per protocols.
  • Increase market share with customers and grow customer relationships while expanding our national footprint.
  • Attend client meetings to present safety and quality reports.
  • Organize new hire orientations and ensure all new hires are trained in company safety and quality protocols.
  • Ensure effective cable management protocols are followed.
  • Manage Auzmor maintenance schedules and operations.
  • Oversee the progression of site supervisors.
  • Implement the Spartan Leadership program.
  • Organize and oversee crane courses.
