About The Position

The Quality Final Inspector inspects assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts for conformance to specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three years previous final inspection experience
• Equivalent combination of training and experience
• Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with repair station activities and FAA requirements is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Inspects parts that are in process and completed to ensure they meet specifications by visual inspection and by testing the operation of the part.
• Performs functional and operational tests, using electronic test equipment to determine functionality of product or part.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for the inspection process and logs data in inspection logbook.
• Examines production documents to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
• Prepares parts for shipping by gathering paperwork and test data; ensures paperwork has proper signatures; copies paperwork for inspection files; and forwards part, paperwork and test data to shipping personnel.
• Creates nameplates for parts as needed.
